单词 bonfacion
释义

bonfacionadj.

Origin: Apparently a borrowing from French. Etymon: French bonne façon.
Etymology: Apparently < French bonne façon (in various phrasal uses since at least the Middle French period) < bonne , feminine of bon good (see boon adj.) + façon fashion n.
Obsolete.
Perhaps: in fashion, fashionable. It may be assumed that baniacion in the 1584 edition of Wilson's Three Ladies of London is a printer's error. The reading in the 1592 edition is uncertain, the identity of the fourth letter being unclear, but seems likely to be bonfacion, a reading supported by W. C. Hazlitt in his edition of 1874, cited by N.E.D. (1887).
