Chemistry.
The branch of chemistry concerned with chemical changes caused by or involving ultrasound.When ultrasound is passed through a liquid, it can cause the formation and collapse of small bubbles (cavitation). The high temperatures and pressures generated by such collapse give rise to a variety of chemical effects.
