1. A long, narrow sledge. Obsolete. rare.

1860 F. C. L. Wraxall tr. J. G. Kohl Kitchi-Gami xxi. 338 The sledge which is found here on Lake Superior..is made of a long narrow board, bent upwards at the end. It is generally only one foot wide, and nearly eight feet long... There may be some slight variations from here to the North Pole in the form of this snow-board, but I describe the details here as I observed them in a sledge on the lake.
2. A board fixed to the edge of a sloped roof, over the guttering, to prevent snow from sliding down and either falling over the side of the roof or blocking the gutter.
