Etymology: < scientific Latin siderotica (in pneumonokoniosis siderotica ; F. A. Zenker 1866, in Deutsches Arch. f. klin. Med. 2 171) < ancient Greek σίδηρος iron (see sidero- comb. form1) + -ωτικός -otic suffix. Compare siderosis n.
