Studdy, was a plump, mischievous puppy, and first appeared in the weekly periodical The Sketch in 1921. The character enjoyed great popularity throughout the 1920s, appearing in a series of books and animated films, and its image was featured on numerous postcards, figurines, accessories and other items of merchandise.
