Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Etymons: Latin sīmus , -ity suffix.
Etymology: < classical Latin sīmus snub-nosed, flat-nosed (see simous adj.) + -ity suffix.Compare post-classical Latin simitas (from 13th cent. in British and continental sources).
Obsolete. rare.
The state or fact of being flat-nosed. Also: the state of having a crooked or deformed nose.
