A proprietary name for: a peer-to-peer file transfer protocol for sharing large amounts of data over the Internet, in which each part of a file downloaded by a user is transferred to other users in turn; a software client which transfers files using this protocol.Such file transfers are thought to account for one third to one half of all Internet traffic.
