Etymology: < post-classical Latin sexagecuplus (10th cent., 1620 in British sources; a1536 in a continental source) < sexag- (in classical Latin sexāgintā sixty: see sexagenary adj.) + -ecuplus (in decuplus decuple adj.). Compare earlier sedecuple n., sexcuple v., etc.
Mathematics. Obsolete. rare.
Involving a ratio of 60 to 1.
