Bombay mix n. British a savoury snack consisting of deep-fried gram-flour noodles, chickpeas, lentils, peanuts, and other ingredients, flavoured with spices. [Apparently a recent formation within British English. Similar snacks are known by a variety of names in different Indian languages; compare e.g. Marathi civḍā.]
