Etymology: < boh- (in Bohemian n.) + -o suffix.Earlier use in sense A. 1 is implied by the following attestation as a nickname of the Bohemian Boat Club, New York:1900 Brooklyn Daily Eagle 22 July 7/1 The Bohoes, after fouling the Knickerbockers at the mile mark, made a gallant effort to head the flying Quakers.
