1916 R. Weil in Jrnl. Immunol. 1 1 In the following papers the term ‘Anaphylactic antibody’ has been replaced by the word ‘Sensitizin’. This has the advantage of brevity. The word is formed on the analogy of the words precipitin and agglutinin, and carries its own significance—namely that substance which confers sensitization.
1920 Jrnl. Immunol. 5 319 The experiments furnish further evidence that precipitin and ‘sensitizin’ are identical.
