Etymology: < French sensiblerie (1782) < sensible sensible adj. + -erie -ery suffix.Not fully naturalized in English. O.E.D. Suppl. (1984) gives the non-naturalized pronunciation (saṅsiblĕri) /sɑ̃sibləri/.
Excessively emotional behaviour; exaggerated or affected sensitivity; sentimentality.
