Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French acours.
Etymology: < Middle French acours, accors action of flowing out (c1220 in Old French as acors ) < classical Latin accursus a rushing up < ac- ac- prefix + cursus (see course n.). Compare Italian accorso, noun and adjective (1618).
Obsolete. rare.
The action or fact of rushing up or out; forward course.
