Etymology: cow n.1Previous versions of the OED give the stress as: ˈsea-cow.
1. The manatee n.; also applied to other sirenians, as the dugong. Often applied to the now extinct sirenian, Rhytina stelleri, called Arctic, northern, or Steller's sea-cow.
