单词 scroyle
释义

scroylen.

/skrɔɪl/
Forms: Also 1600s scroile.
Etymology: Of obscure origin. The conjecture that it is < Old French escroele, scrofulous sore, is not quite satisfactory as to form, and the assumed development of sense, though plausible, has no evidence.
Obsolete.
A scoundrel, wretch.
