Etymology: < post-classical Latin rostriformis (1681 or earlier) < rostri- , combining form of classical Latin rostrum beak (see rostrum n.; compare -i- connective) + classical Latin -formis -form comb. form2.
Chiefly Zoology.
Having the form or shape of a beak or a rostrum; beak-like.
