Etymology: < Italian rifacimento (a1348) < rifac- , stem of rifare to remake ( < ri- re- prefix + fare to make (a1420) < classical Latin facere : see fact n.) + -mento -ment suffix.
A new version or remodelling of a literary or artistic work; a reworking. Also in extended use.
