释义 | Rhizopodan. Zoology. With plural agreement. A phylum of protists characterized by extensible pseudopodia, now usually comprising the amoebas and cellular slime moulds, and formerly also including the foraminiferans and actinopods; (also in form rhizopoda) organisms of this phylum (collectively or individually). The Rhizopoda were formerly regarded as a protozoan order, class, or subphylum, and treated as a subdivision of the Sarcodina (or synonymous with it). They are now considered to be polyphyletic and some modern schemes place them in several different phyla or even kingdoms.
