Etymology: < rhabdit- (in rhabditis n.) + -oid suffix. With sense A. 2 compare scientific Latin Rhabditoidea , superfamily name (L. Travassos 1920). Compare rhabditic adj.1, rhabditiform adj., rhabditid adj.
