Etymology: < revolve v. + -able suffix. Compare earlier revoluble adj.The following earlier quot. apparently shows a typographical error:1774 J. Carter Builder's Mag. 162 He is said to understand the Claro Obscuro.., the whole of a picture being revolvable [1734 resolvable] into light and shadow.
Capable of being revolved.
