Having two bases. Now more commonly dibasic adj. bibasic acid n. an acid which contains two atoms of displaceable hydrogen (e.g. H₂SO₄), and can therefore form two series of salts, normal (e.g. K₂SO₄) and acid (e.g. KHSO₄).
