With reference to King Henry VI (1421–71): restoration to the throne; recovery or resumption of power.Henry VI was deposed during the Wars of the Roses, in March 1461, by his cousin, Edward of York (subsequently King Edward IV). Henry's return to the throne, on 30 October 1470, lasted only six months, with Edward reclaiming power in May 1471.
