Anatomy and Zoology.
A branch of a nerve or blood vessel that joins another nerve or blood vessel; spec. a bundle of nerve fibres joining a sympathetic ganglion and a spinal nerve. Frequently with distinguishing Latin or English word, typically indicating the anatomical location or the type of nerve fibre forming the branch.
