1913 T. A. Henry Plant Alkaloids 173 The salts are crystalline and soluble in water. Strong aqueous hydrochloric acid in the cold converts the base into the isomeric quinamidine.
1939 Thorpe's Dict. Appl. Chem. (ed. 4) III. 168/2 Very mild treatment, such as boiling with 1% sulphuric acid,..suffices to isomerise quinamine to quinamidine.
