Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: quash v., -able suffix.
Etymology: < quash v. + -able suffix. Compare French cassable (1610 in an isolated attestation, and subsequently from 1867, in this sense; 15th cent. in Middle French as quassable in sense ‘fragile’).
Chiefly Law.
That may be annulled, voided, or rejected; liable to invalidation.
