单词 queemly
释义

queemlyadv.

Brit. /ˈkwiːmli/, U.S. /ˈkwimli/
Forms: see queem adj. and adv. and -ly suffix2.
Origin: Probably a variant or alteration of another lexical item. Or perhaps formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: English gecwēmlīce ; queem adj., -ly suffix2.
Etymology: In Old English probably aphetic < gecwēmlīce, in the same sense ( < i-queme adj. + -ly suffix2); in later use < queem adj. + -ly suffix2. Compare Old Swedish qvämelika appropriately, Old Danish qvemmelig (Danish kvemmelig).
