A rare manganese-containing silicate mineral of the pyroxenoid group, found as pink to brown crystals in some metamorphic and metasomatic rocks.Pyroxmangite is a form of manganese silicate, MnSiO3, and is a polymorph of rhodonite, having a chain structure with a repeating unit of seven (rather than five) silicate tetrahedra. Crystal system: triclinic.

Pyroxmangite in this rock occurs in pink grains of ½–¾ mm. average grain size. Exceptionally grains up to 5 mm. diameter may appear as porphyroblasts.
