Each of three isomeric keto derivatives of pyridine, differing in the position of the oxygen atom; any substituted derivative of such a compound.Formula: C₅H₅NO. The pyridones exist in equilibrium with their corresponding tautomers (hydroxy derivatives of pyridine).
