Chemistry.

A sweet crystalline cyclic alcohol obtained from the acorns and bark of various species of oak, and found also in viburnums and other plants.The name quercitol is applied to one or more of the stereoisomers of 1,2,3,4,5-pentahydroxycyclohexane; C₆H₁₂O₅.
