A mineral, or group of minerals resembling epidote in structure, which occur as colourless, greenish, or brown crystals and are characteristic of some low-grade metamorphic rocks.Pumpellyites are hydrated calcium aluminosilicates also containing varying proportions of magnesium, iron, and/or manganese. Crystal system: monoclinic.
