Etymology: < psychogony n. + -ic suffix, originally after Byzantine Greek ψυχογονικός.
Chiefly Philosophy.
Of or relating to psychogony. psychogonic cube n. the number 216 ( = 6 × 6 × 6), a number held to be significant in Pythagorean thought as expressing the length in years of the supposed interval between successive reincarnations of a soul (see also quot. 1945).
