Etymology: < post-classical Latin procedendo ad judicium (in de procedendo ad judicium of proceeding to judgement (15th cent.)) < classical Latin prōcēdendō (see procedendo n.) + ad to, towards + iūdicium judgement, sentence (see judicial adj.). Compare earlier procedendo n.
