Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Etymons: Latin prior , -ic suffix.
Etymology: < classical Latin prior prior adj. + -ic suffix, after a priori adv. Compare French apriorique judging a priori (1864).
Philosophy. Now rare.
That has been deduced a priori; of or relating to a priori reasoning.
