Etymology: < post-classical Latin praetaxatus aforementioned (6th cent.; from c980 (frequently from 1145) in British sources), appointed or agreed beforehand (frequently during 13th cent. in British sources), use as adjective of past participle of praetaxare (see pretaxation n.). Compare earlier pretaxed adj.
Obsolete. rare.
Declared or fixed beforehand. Cf. pretaxed adj.
