释义 | prenoln. Chemistry. Any of a class of alcohols containing one or more isoprene residues in their molecules; an isoprenoid alcohol. ΚΠ 1939 Chem. Abstr. 33 1687 The name prenol is suggested for the primary alc. contg. residue I, viz., Me2C:CHCH2OH, to bring out the close relationship to isoprene, and prenyl for the residue itself. 1950 Jrnl. Amer. Chem. Soc. 72 4612/1 The authentic prenol was prepared from isoprene hydrochloride as follows. 1966 Jrnl. Chromatogr. 23 60 Gas–liquid chromatography has been used to confirm that the leaves of Aesculus hippocastanum contain prenols ranging from C45 to C65 with the C60 component predominating. 1978 Philos. Trans. (Royal Soc.) B. 284 560 Dolichols are predominantly very long poly-cis prenols with a saturated α-residue. 1998 Biochem. & Biophysical Res. Communications 244 546 Reverse phase HPLC demonstrated that in S[chizosaccharomyces] pombe dolichol ranged between 14 and 18 isoprene units with dolichol-16,17 being the most abundant prenol. This is a new entry (OED Third Edition, March 2007; most recently modified version published online March 2022). < n.1939 |
