Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin premiabilis.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin premiabilis worthy of reward (1300, 1344, c1440 in British sources) < classical Latin praemiārī (see premiate v.) + -bilis -ble suffix. Compare Middle French premiable acceptable, worthy of consideration (1531).
