Etymology: < posture v. + -er suffix1. Compare posturist n. N.E.D. (1907) gives the pronunciation as (pǫ·stiŭrəɹ) /ˈpɒstjʊərə(r)/.
A person who postures, or poses for effect; a poseur. Also: one who makes postures or contortions, an acrobat, a contortionist (now chiefly historical).
