释义 | Popperianadj.n. A. adj. Designating or relating to the theories of Karl Popper, esp. in relation to the nature of scientific method.Popper contended that scientific theories were hypotheses which had been exposed to a systematic attempt at falsification and argued that falsifiability was that which distinguished the theories of science from those of pseudosciences like psychoanalysis and Marxist historical materialism. He also expounded a liberal political theory founded on the twin rights of people to voice their criticisms of political decisions and policies affecting them and to change their rulers regularly and peacefully.
