Etymology: < ancient Greek πολυπραγμοσύνη officiousness, meddlesomeness < πολυπράγμων busy about many things, meddlesome, officious (see polypragmon n.) + -συνη , suffix forming nouns. Compare post-classical Latin polypragmosyne (1620 in a British source). With the α form compare -y suffix3.
