释义 | † acratismn. Obsolete. In ancient Greek contexts: a breakfast of bread dipped in wine. ΚΠ 1804 R. Dagley Gems 44 Athenaeus describes, in his first book, a repast taken in the morning, called Acratism, consisting of bread dipped in the Acratos, or pure wine. 1805 W. Taylor in Monthly Mag. 20 34 An acratism was the old name for a whet, or cordial. 1853 A. Soyer Pantropheon xxix. 342 More than one respectable Greek of good family, following the example of Ulysses, who prepared his breakfast at sun-rise, had the acratism brought so soon as the crowing of the cock announced the return of day.
