1969 Lancet 2 Aug. 227/1 Practolol..was given to forty-seven patients who had cardiac dysrhythmias after myocardial infarction.

1976 Nature 12 Aug. 595/2 Practolol (40 mg kg⁻¹) a β₂ receptor blocking agent that does not enter the brain in significant quantity did not inhibit hyperactivity.

1976 Lancet 6 Nov. 984/1 Practolol (‘Eraldin’) tablets were withdrawn from general use on Oct. 1, 1975.

1993 Daily Tel. 20 July 15/3 That was one of the lessons learnt following the deaths, blindness, dry eyes and skin rashes which followed the mass use of an ICI drug called practolol in the mid-1970s.
