A. adj.
1. That plugs into a socket; that may be connected to an electricity supply by means of an electrical plug; spec. (a) (esp. of a removable component or peripheral device) designed to be connected easily to an electronic device (now esp. a computer); (b) (of an electric vehicle, esp. a hybrid) having a battery that powers the electric motor of the vehicle and can be recharged by being connected to an electrical supply while stationary.
