Origin: A borrowing from Greek, combined with English elements. Etymons: platy- comb. form, Greek κνήμη , -ic suffix.
Etymology: < platy- comb. form + ancient Greek κνήμη tibia (see cnemial adj.) + -ic suffix. Compare slightly later platycnemism n. and later platycnemia n., platycnemy n.
Physical Anthropology.
Of, relating to, or exhibiting platycnemia.
