Etymology: < pink adj.2 + wood n.1
1. The ornamental wood of any of several Australian trees and tall shrubs; spec. (a) either of two trees of the genus Eucryphia (family Eucryphiaceae), E. lucida of Tasmania, and E. moorei of south-east Australia; (b) the wallaby bush, Beyeria viscosa (family Euphorbiaceae) (now rare). Also: any of these trees.
