Eye x. 211 Electric Light Ophthalmia (Photophthalmia).—The ultraviolet rays of the electric light, especially of the arc lamp, may cause extreme burning pain, lacrymation, photophobia, blepharospasm, and swelling of the palpebral conjunctiva and retrotarsal folds, coming on a few hours later.
