Etymology: < classical Latin pervius (see pervious adj.) + -al suffix1. Compare later pervious adj.
rare. Now historical.
Transparent; clear.Apparently used only by George Chapman, or in reference to Chapman's writing. Pervious (cf. pervious adj. 1c) is the usual word.
