单词 | phallotoxin |
释义 | phallotoxinn. Chemistry. Any of several closely related poisonous peptides present in the death cap toadstool, Amanita phalloides, all of which have a similar ring structure of seven amino acids bridged by a sulphur atom. ΚΠ 1968 T. Wieland in Science 1 Mar. 949/1 Both these toxins [sc. phalloidin and amanitin] are representatives of two families of poisonous peptides... The phallotoxins include phalloidin, phalloin, phallacidin, phallisin, and phallin B. 1969 Jrnl. Agric. & Food Chem. 17 492/2 The phallotoxins are cyclic heptapeptides containing several novel amino acids and unusual combinations of the more common protein amino acids. 1972 Science 1 Sept. 808/1 The rapidly acting phallotoxins..are responsible for the gastrointestinal phase of the poisoning. 1975 Sci. Amer. Mar. 95/1 In the phallotoxins the cyclopeptide ring has seven amino acids; in the amatoxins it has eight. 1984 Proc. National Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 81 5232/1 These results indicate that hepatic uptake systems for bile salts, phallotoxins, and the cycloamanide antamanide are identical, thus explaining the organotropism of phallotoxins. 1996 J. Lanchester Debt to Pleasure (1997) 223 The two compounds involved in A. phalloides poisoning are the amotoxins [sic] and the phallotoxins, of which the former seem to be far the most dangerous—phallotoxins are usually broken down in the processes of cooking or digestion.
