Etymology: < Anglo-Norman and Middle French permanable (first half of the 12th cent. in Anglo-Norman; also in Anglo-Norman as parmanable ; French †permanable ) < parman- , perman- (in parmanant , parmenant permanent adj.) + -able -able suffix. Compare permanent adj., permane v.A parallel form permanyble is also occasionally attested in Middle English (compare -ible suffix).
Obsolete.
