Etymology: < Peter Pan, the name of the boy hero of J. M. Barrie's play Peter Pan, the boy who wouldn't grow up (first performed in 1904).
1. attributive. Designating various styles of clothing suggestive of those worn by Peter Pan; esp. in Peter Pan collar n. (also with lower-case initials) a flat collar with rounded ends, often white or light-coloured.
