Mineralogy.

A rare lithium-containing mineral which occurs as greyish to black metallic masses with a leaflike cleavage and is used in some ceramics.Petalite is an aluminosilicate of lithium, LiAlSi₄O₁₀. Crystal system: monoclinic.
